BACKYARD BEAUTIES

When a couple asks me to shoot their wedding, I am always BEYOND excited. Being chosen to take part in such a memorable day is truly honorable. Now.. when you tell me it's a backyard wedding - I get SO excited! I don't know if it's because I grew up in the country that it holds such a special place in my heart. Whatever it is, it gets me so so pumped. When Julie and Justin told me it was a backyard wedding - I was squealing in front of my computer!! I know Julie through friends and she is such a down to earth soul! Her humor and personality literally shine when she steps into a room (or into her reception tent to be specific). I had the pleasure of meeting Justin when we hiked through Falcon Lake, MB for their engagement photos. The mosquitos were HORRIBLE but the photos were pretty awesome! Seeing these two together is the perfect example of finding someone that completes you. They were meant for each other.

Saying "I do" under Julie's parents front yard tree was something else. With family and friends all gathered around - It was short, sweet and right to the point! I also met their family dog Gaston who (believe it or not) only understands French. Needless to say Gaston probably was annoyed with me because all I could say to him was bonjour je m'appelle Chantel. I made up for this in many pets!

All of Julie and Justin's photos were captured in her parents backyard. The weather and lighting were STUNNING and it couldn't of been a better scenario. Also, the Bridal party was a BLAST to work with and I've had the pleasure of shooting mini sessions for a couple of the friends outside of the wedding. It is the biggest compliment to work with friends within weddings - I am so very thankful.

These two are literal backyard beauties and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for them!
